Alex Hillman is best known for starting Philadelphia’s Indy Hall co-working community in 2006, years before co-working became a darling of the mainstream press and mobile workers everywhere. He’s gone on to work with a number of other companies with a passion for creating amazing experiences for their customers and employees. Most recently, he’s joined Wildbit, the makers of popular web tools for developers like Beanstalk and Postmark.
The three most popular version control systems are broken down into two main categories, centralized and decentralized (also known as distributed). In this talk, Alex will cover the benefits of the increasingly popular decentralized options like Git and Mercurial, introducing techniques and tools to help you (and your team) get started quickly and easily.
