Telerik’s KendoUI and the Mobile Apps with Icenium

You must bring a laptop. Don’t forget that power supply. We recommend more than 1 Gb of RAM and at least 10 Gb of free disk space. External USB or Firewire drives really help. We will help you get organized and install the right software for continued virtual fun! We have wireless Internet access. If not, make sure that all required software is on your machine when you arrive.

You can sign up for a trial account to KendoUI and Icenium at no cost, and will be able to work with those tools for 30 days free of charge.

KendoUI is a professional set of HTML5 and Javascript framework components that make building your modern and mobile web applications much easier.  With a simple and consistent programming interface, rock solid capabilities, theming and templates to name just a few of the features, KendoUI is the premiere toolset for building today’s web.  Icenium is a platform for re-using your HTML5 and Javascript skills to build mobile applications.  With Icenium, you can develop, test, and publish an application for iOS and Android from the comfort of Visual Studio.    We will learn how to build some simple web pages using KendoUI and then we will transfer that knowledge to Icenium and begin building a simple application with HTML that will run on our iOS and Android devices.
