Continuous Integration with Visual Studio Online, Octopus and Team City


This session is all about Continuous Integration using the following tools and technologies:

  • Team Foundation Server
  • Resharper
  • Dot Cover
  • Powershell

We will show you how to get started with Team City and Octopus using Azure, how to automatically run unit tests, show code coverage and do builds using Team City, how to connect Visual Studio Online and Team Foundation Server in the cloud to Team City in Azure and how to use some of the powerful built-in API’s in Octopus.

We’ll set up a project from scratch and show lots of step-by-step examples.

Dante Papada

Dante Papada is a Senior Applications Development consultant working amongst various development teams building web applications using MVC, webAPI, and OWIN/Katana components. Dante has also led automation efforts based on scripting expertise in Power Shell. Dante has been in the consulting role for almost 2 years and spent 7 years as a software engineer in the defense industry. Dante’s education background is comprised of a Bachelor’s of science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Scranton, and a Master’s of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Dante also has experience in the realm of computational intelligence and has a passion for artificial intelligence and robotics.
